Walking through a downtown district of most any city, you will likely see some form of art along the walls or on a nearby building. This art seems purposeful, adding to the ambience of the city's streets. Okirah Harris, a local muralist, describes this shift of acceptance and her own process as an artist.

A barrier has been removed for women who use birth control pills as a treatment for hormonal disorders. North Carolina legislature passed a bill in August of 2021 that enables women to get hormonal birth control pills without a doctor’s prescription effective on February 1. Pills will now be available at local pharmacies.

Fermentation Lounge is tucked away behind Tallahassee’s lively areas of Railroad Avenue and Gaines Street.While walking this particular block of All Saints, you feel whisked away into an urban neighborhood far from the capital city. In fact, the lounge’s storefront, located underneath apartments, is almost hidden from cars passing by.

Heading out of town down the Woodville highway stands the AMWAT Moving Warehouse Storage building. Although normally not a highly congregated area of town, the road-facing side of this warehouse is now the location for the 2017 Fall Community Mural Project. Now anyone passing by will notice this vibrant piece of art along the side of the highway, brightening up the area and restoring important history.
